Program Partners

EWB and the DTC Research Group partner with industry, academia, development organisations and institutional funding partners to deliver the “Where There Is No Engineer” programme. We are grateful to all our partners without whose support the programme would not be possible.

Both Irish Aid and the EU DEAR Program have provided funding for WTINE since its inception in 2015.

Bentley Systems and the Arup Charitable Trust fund our Innovation Academy and Engineers Ireland has also provided support to the program.

Our university partners bring the program alive through their students’ participation and adapting the program to suit their needs. Our partners in academia include TU Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, the National College of Art and Design, Cork Institute of Technology, IT Carlow, Waterford IT, University College Cork, Limerick IT, IT Sligo and Queen’s University Belfast.

Our development partners assist EWB and DTC with prototype testing and development, providing invaluable insight and advice to WTINE interns, helping them grow professionally. Our development and charitable partners include Zamda Ireland, our country partner in 2021 based in Kabwe, Zambia; Field Ready; the Nepal Ireland Society, Concern Worldwide, Action Aid and Habitat for Humanity.
